IECA University Partners


The IECA University Partner program objective is to introduce young professionals to IECA and provide means to connect students with industry professionals who make up the IECA membership. Partner Universities and Colleges offer coursework in fields related to Erosion Control, Soil Science, Stormwater Management, Construction, Hydrology, Landscape Architecture, Geology, and Professional Engineering. It is the goal of the program to provide benefits for Universities, students and IECA alike. 

Students benefit from the opportunity to:

  • Present research and poster presentations through IECA events; 
  • Publish work in IECA's Official Publication: Environmental Connection Magazine; 
  • Connect with professionals in the industry; 
  • Moderate sessions at the IECA Annual Conference; 
  • Network with local chapter, through regional and local events; 
  • Get a head start on your professional career through relationships built with IECA members. 

Universities/Colleges benefit from the opportunity to: 

  • Publish work in IECA's Official Publication: Environmental Connection Magazine; 
  • Position your University or College as a leader in developing industry professionals; 
  • Present research through IECA events; 
  • Connect with IECA members and University Partner School professors; 
  • Network with local chapter, through regional and local events; 
  • Nominate student(s) to attend the IECA Annual Conference to moderate sessions and exhibit research or case studies through a poster presentation; 
  • IECA University Partner News: Submit news and opportunities from your University.

Requirement of Faculty Liasion: 

  • IECA faculty liaison must have an active membership in IECA and promote student membership to those who may be interested.

IECA is the foremost organization for those involved in or concerned about soil erosion control. Membership (in IECA) tells others you take erosion control seriously and you want to help make a difference.
